I guess I should mention that I have zero idea what actual chips are used. Also less than thrilled that I lost all PSone support, as well as the chance to watch DVDs on it.
Much like the PSX, sometimes I have to hit restart to get something up and running. I'm able to play domestic, import, and burnt PS2 games with general ease.
Anyhow, it too has served me well, generally speaking. BTW, for anyone that really cares, I can go and check the serial numbers. Again, not a first gen machine, but the one right before they got rid of the Firewire port. Maybe one out of ten times, when booting the machine, nothing will happen, but just hitting restart solves that problem.Ī few years ago I got my PS2 phat modded as well. For the longest time I've had a modded PlayStation 1, not the PSone, and the very first model of the PSX, somewhere in the middle.
